Pines on The Plateau

Pines on the Plateau is a AAA Tourism 4 star boutique country retreat set amongst ancient pine trees and regenerated rainforest in the hinterland of the Far North Coast of New South Wales.

The lodges were built in 2004 and take advantage of the beautiful northerly aspect that over looks cattle grazing in the paddocks and across to the Nightcap Ranges with the peak of Mount Warning visible.

Upon arrival a home baked treat awaits you. A choice of local plunger coffee and tea is yours. A delicious breakfast hamper will be provided for your first morning to cook and enjoy at your leisure.

The lodges are spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished with federation furniture. Both have reverse cycle air-conditioning and well equipped kitchenettes to allow you to prepare meals should you wish to do so.

The bathrooms are beautifully appointed and have lush, private, outside views. Norfolk Lodge has a deep, luxurious two person spa whilst Pine Lodge has a large bathtub in which to relax. Towels are thick and fluffy and quality toiletries are supplied for your indulgence.

The bedrooms are elegant and uncluttered. Beds are queen-sized with beautiful linen and are topped with tailor made bedspreads.

Lounge areas again take in the magic views. Flat-screen, High-definition televisions, DVD players and CD players, books, magazines and games are provided. It is suggested that you bring along your favourite CDs (DVDs are available locally). We also have broadband Internet access in all lodges. The comfortable sofa can unfold to become a double bed if needed.

Private verandahs allow you to relax while reading, enjoying your favourite beverage or taking in the magnificent views.

Covered parking for your vehicle is right at your doorstep. Laundry facilities are also available.

In summer you may wish to take a dip in the salt water pool – pool towels are provided for your use and a Gazebo offers protection from the sun.

Each lodge has its own small gas barbeque so that you can enjoy an outside meal in our gardens. The sunsets are regularly something to behold.
